سعينا إلى تناول تيمة المدينة من خلال التطرق إليها وفق النموذجين الغربي والعربي وهذا بدراسة أشعار وكتابات كل من شارل بودلير و أحمد عبد المعطي حجازي. فكل منهما سعى إلى التطرق لما تعرضت له كل مدينته من التغيرات والتطورات جراء ما عرفته من تمدّن ، وسعيا إلى إبراز المدينة من خلال خطاباتهم الشعرية مبرزين أهم نقاط الائتلاف والاختلاف التي ظهرت بينهما، فالشاعر يشكل نبضا حيا للمدينة يحاول جاهدا أن ينحت ماهیتها من وعيه الحقيقي، ويبني عالمه بأعمدة شعره في ظل المدينة التي يحلم بها. وحين أضحت المدينة عالما دائم التغير عبر فيها الشاعر عن رؤياه المفزعة من هذا التحول والتمدن،و الذي يحمل في نظرته المليئة بالنقم ، وهو ما كان محفزا للشاعر لتناول المدينة، وما فيها من حياة منمطة التي يحياها إنسانها. عكست التجربة المدينية أوضاع الشاعرين ،أفضت إلى مستويات فنية وإبداعية جعلت منهما رائدين للشعر المديني. Through this study, we sought to deal with the theme of the city by addressing to the Western and Arab models, and this is by studying the poetry and writings of Charles Baudelaire and Ahmed Abdel-Moati Hegazy. Each of them sought to address the changes and developments that all the city (Paris) Cairo was subjected to as a result of the civilization it knew, and they sought to highlight the city through their poetic discourses, highli ghting the most important points of convergence and difference that appeared between them. From his true consciousness, and builds his world with the pillars of his poetry in the shadow of the city he dreams. And when the city became a world of constant movement and change, the poet expressed his terrifying vision of this transformation and urbanization, which carries in his view full of resentment and awe of what is in it, which was a strong motivator for the poet to deal with the city, and what is in it of the patterned life that its people live.
