Abstract

This research paper aims to talk about the sources of rooting for the art of maqamah in Algerian prose, where we find in our ancient Arabic literature writers of maqamat who laid the first foundations of the literary maqamat art, paving the way for the emergence of maqamat in modern Algerian literature, and this indicates the revival of the cultural movement in Algeria, ancient and modern. Accordingly, we will present to the various Algerian maqammas who specialized in writing the maqama in ancient Algerian literature. We know the author, then we will present his maqamat, mentioning its most important features, and thus be a source for knowing the rooting of the art of maqamah in Algerian prose.
