Abstract

If empirical research does not meet the two following requirements together, namely the pursuit of specific and general theoretical knowledge interests and the achievement of a contribution to the empirical justification of didactic concepts for foreign language teaching, it gets caught in the dilemma that research and practice of foreign language acquisition are often perceived as separate systems. An integrative achievement of research consists in the practical relevance for foreign language acquisition or foreign language teaching. Such achievements can be provided by practice-oriented research, the questions of which are inspired by practice and the results of which are useful for practice; According to the motto "from practice for practice".
