De la norme internationale à l’action éducative : pour une intégration effective de l’éducation environnementale en Algérie

Abstract

Despite Algeria’s formal commitments under the COP framework, including the Paris Agreement, the integration of environmental education into the national education system remains fragmented and weakly institutionalized. This article explores the gap between global normative frameworks (Action for Climate Empowerment, NDCs, SNDD) and the actual educational practices in Algeria. It highlights key structural barriers such as poor intersectoral coordination, lack of specialized teacher training, inadequate educational resources, and marginalization of climate education in national curricula. The paper advocates for a unified climate education strategy based on coherent governance, curricular reform, and strengthened teacher capacity building.
