Abstract
These studies focused on defining some features of the Islamic presence in Europe, in its current form, and showed the affiliations of Muslims to this continent, their classes, and some estimated statistics of their number, at present and the future expectations, which is on the rise, especially in Western European countries in France , Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland...
She also reviewed the most important Islamic institutions in Europe, their varieties, and their extended branches inside and outside Europe, which were able to weave a huge network of diverse services in different fields: cultural, scientific, social and da'wah.
This study concludes by examining the most important challenges that hinder the path of Islamic institutional work in Europe, which are various challenges, including the internal ones stemming from the structure and composition of organizations and associations, and the lack of harmony among them, and some that are external from Western policies towards Muslims.
