IMMAGINI SOCIOLINGUISTICHE DELLE LINGUE LOCALI E DELLE LINGUE STRANIERE PER LO STUDENTE D’ITALIANO DELL’UNIVERSITA DI ALGERI 2

Abstract

In this article, we have studied the Sociolinguistics representation among a group of Algerian students of Algiers University 2. In fact, we examined their "representation toward (i) their local language and dialects classical Arabic, dialectal Arabic and Tamazight, (ii) as well as the foreign languages they know French, English, German, Spanish and Russian and (iii) the Italian language. Indeed, from the analysis of the questionnaire data developed for this purpose, it appeared that living in a multilingual reality makes it possible to have positive representations towards languages. Although representations of local languages balance between appreciation and rejection, however, it has emerged that the more a language is known and mastered the more positive and vice versa. Dans cet article, nous avons étudié les représentations sociolinguistiques chez un groupe d’étudiants de l’Université d’Alger 2 (Algérie). En effet, nous avons examiné leurs représentations vis-à-vis (i) de leurs langues locales: arabe classique, arabe dialectal et tamazight, (ii) des langues étrangères qu’ils connaissent: français, anglais, allemand, espagnol et russe et (iii) de la langue italienne. En effet, de l’analyse des données du questionnaire élaboré à cet effet, il est apparu que vivre dans une réalité multilingue permet d’avoir des représentations positives vers les langues. Bien que les représentations des langues locales balancent entre appréciation et rejet, cependant, il est apparu que plus une langue est connue et maîtrisée plus les représentations sont positives et vice-versa. In questo articolo ci interessiamo alle rappresentazioni sociolinguistiche di un gruppo di studenti dell’Università di Algeri 2 (Algeria). Difatti, abbiamo indagato le loro rappresentazioni socio-linguistiche nei confronti (i) delle loro lingue locali: arabo classico, arabi dialettale etamazight, (ii) delle lingue straniere che conoscono: francese, inglese, tedesco, spagnolo e russo e (iii) della lingua italiana. Infatti, dall’analisi dei dati del questionario elaborato appositamente, è emerso che vivere in una realtà multilinguistica permette raffigurazioni positive delle lingue. Anche se le rappresentazioni delle lingue locali oscillano tra apprezzamento e rigetto, tuttavia, è emerso che più una lingua è conosciuta e padroneggiata più le rappresentazioni sono positive e vice-versa.
