Abstract
The third age is a vulnerable stage of human life marked by a decline of several processes, physiological, cognitive, psychological and social process.
The problem of aging lies in the identity crisis and the feeling of difficulty in adapting and accepting bodily and physiological change which can alter the psycho-social process of the elderly. A crisis and suffering can arise in a category following the loss of a socio-professional status, which has led us to expose this topical issue given the rise in the aging rate in Algeria
