Abstract

The photographic image in the press discourse is important. in this study, I deal with the ideological aspect, and the concept of time in the image photographic from the perspective of Roland Barthes, and I have chosen two models in my analysis of the photographic image, the first represents the Russia- Croatia conflict- I tried to apply the concept of nature/ culture and the concept of time in the image photographic. the photographic image looks innocent, natural, and the cultural side appears through the signs that support signifiance, about the time, the photographic image shows the Russian - Croatian conflict in a both ( before the war / after the war), and in the second image represents the confrontation between the Palestinians and the forces of the Zionist occupation, and time appears in ( before the confrontation at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, then the moment of confrontation between Palestinian, and the forces of occupation).
