Abstract
The digital documentary support is considered an absolute technological necessity
imposed by the digital environment, which has gradually affected most of the
scientific and intellectual activities, especially the educational process that moved
towards e-learning and clearly helped the circulation and use of documentary
resources online. Accordingly in our study, we describe the importance of digital
documentary supports as a digital source of knowledge and the various mechanisms
developed by the ministry of higher education in order to providing informational
supports that assist in the educational and research process and their use by
students. As a foundation, despite the difficulties that may surrounds the process of
providing digital documentary supports, we conclude that they have become an
inevitable necessity in light of recent developments in all scientific fields, especially
e-learning and access to the full text due to the many positives that are provided by
the portals, platforms and services that it provides.
