De la configuration de l’espace dans L’Année des chiens de Sadek Aissat

Abstract

: Le présent article a comme objet l’étude de l’espace dans l’une des œuvres de la littérature algérienne des années 1990 : L’Année des chiens de Sadek Aissat. Nous nous sommes intéressés à l’espace dans ce roman en vue d’établir une confrontation entre l’espace de l’exil et celui de la patrie, et ainsi, soulever une dualité spatiale sur laquelle repose, en partie, l’œuvre de cet auteur. Pour atteindre cet objet, nous nous sommes principalement appuyé sur les travaux de Gérard Genette (narratologie), ceux de Bernard Bachelet (l’espace dans le roman) et enfin la poétique de Gaston Bachelard comme cadre de signification de l’œuvre.

The purpose of this article is the study of space in one of the works of Algerian literature of the 1990 s : The Year of the Dogs by Sadek Aissat. We are interested in space in this novel in order to establish a confrontation between the space of exile and that of the homeland, and thus, to raise a spatial duality on which rests, in part, the work of this author. To achieve this goal, we mainly relied on the work of Gérard Genette (narratology), those of Bernard Bachelet (space in the novel) and finally the poetics of Gaston Bachelard as a framework for the work's meaning.
