Abstract

This article attempts to understand the mechanisms that govern the poetics of orality on the basis of a corpus of Kabyle poetry that we have collected from our informants. These are novenas called Isefra. We presented the poems and their translations into Arabic, and then looked at their rhythmic structures and the different ways that versification has used to organise the semantic content.
