Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important every day, especially in libraries. This article explores the growing integration of AI in libraries. Based on a literature review, it examines the historical evolution of AI, its current and potential applications in libraries, and the associated challenges. The study highlights the role of libraries as key institutions for information dissemination and their adaptation to digital transformation. Concepts such as "smart libraries" and "participatory libraries" are discussed, emphasizing the impact of AI on operations, collection management, and user services. The importance of investment in infrastructure and training to adopt these technologies is also underscored.ar_AR
