Nara, Abdelaziz2026-06-222025-12-181111-3707E-ISSN : 2588-2090http://ddeposit.univ-alger2.dz/handle/20.500.12387/10032It is known that the tribes of the Awlād Nāʾil region responded to Al-Amīr ʿAbd al-Qādir’s call for resistance and supported him and stood by him and at the forefront of it was Abd al-Salām ibn al-Gandūz, who was appointed by El-Amir as a leader over the Awlād Nāʾil , and later became his nephew, Al-Sharīf Belaḥrash , the successor of the El-Amir over Awlād Nāʾil and his right hand that helped him in resisting colonialism .This study examines the pivotal role of Sheikh El-Sharif Ibn al-Aḥrash, Al-Amīr ʿAbd al-Qādir’s Khalifa, in the Awlād Nāʾil region's resistance against French colonialism.
