Officially, Algeria is becoming a bilingual country. In this perspective, the article discusses the strategies adopted by the institution in the process of this officialization while highlighting the possible issues that may emerge. In addition, the historicalpolitical prism seems to be appropriate for an objective understanding of these issues.
