Abstract:
In this article, we wanted to figure out the image of the main character "Turambo", who was repeatedly designated by "the Arab" in Yasmina Khadra's
novel "Angels are dying of our wounds". Through the multiplicity of discursive designations we will try to see the functioning of the designation process and its relation to referenciation in the Algerian colonial context of the inter-war period. The goal was to analyze discursive construction of designation through this process talking about racial segregation in the literary discourse of the writer.
