Abstract:
This paper aims to shed light on the role of British Empiricism in shaping of
the aesthetical theory during the eighteenth century,-In fact, this theory had a
significant influence on the founding of Kant’ critical aesthetics-. I will tackle
this topic through an exploration of the following eminent figures;
A.Shaftesbury, F. Hutcheson, T. Reid, J. Addison, and E. Burke.
