dc.description.abstract | Each nation has its own constant basic pillars which are permanently preserved to such a degree of sanctification that generations have bequeathed throughout ages. Therefore, different ways have been used to maintain and defend one’s existence, such as photography, writing, practice and performance, among which writing is probably the most guaranteed, as the other modes may submit a change. Since writing plays the role of a witness on civilization, and really holds that in its essence, it expresses and rather interprets a real image of a nation. Thus, it is not astonishing that the Arabic calligraphy has absorbed all those meanings, perceptions and visions, and carried as well an intensive significance that summarizes the Arab Islamic civilization. So, for such a topic, many questions can be asked. One wonders about what have been done by the Moslem nation to elevate man’s status and service? Yet, what aspects has the Islamic civilization had next to religion, economics, politics, science, sociology, justice, and architecture? In other words, how can the Arabic calligraphy be a witness on a civilization deeply rooted in history?? So, what quality has made it one of the components of the Arab and Islamic identity?? | ar_AR |
