Résumé:
In this study, we address the importance of the reformist discourse since the dawn of the modern Arab Islamic renaissance, based on the question of how to overcome backwardness and achieve progress, amid polemics over intellectual issues that remained stuck in the minds of the early pioneer reformers, and those who inherited them from the contemporary Arab thinkers, the discussions never stopped. About the obstacles to advancement, and the questions that were limited to how to overcome the civilized decline of the Arab Islamic nation did not stop until we talk about the cause of failure and failure, and the deviation of the path. To clarify further, we will dedicate in this study the discourse of the religious reformer and its basic premises in modernization, renewal and the revelations of the Renaissance on the one hand, with a diagnosis of the obstacles to progress and justifications for stumbling on the other hand. All this is in order to explain the peculiarity of each era, just as every society has its civilizational problems. There is no salvation for it except by the presence of a reformer who restores the nation to its rationality and the luster of its glory.
