Résumé:
قطاع الطرق وخطرهم على ركب الحج في بلاد المغرب الإسلامي بين القرنين 7-9هـ/13-15م.
Abstract
This study intends to shed light on the raids and
robbery phenomena on pilgrims caravans that worsened
by the beginning of the 7th Century of the Islamic
calendar/13th AD, and the decline of the Almohads
dynasty on the land routes in the Islamic Maghreb.
Security was no more established especially when a
mess spread in the routes that pilgrims caravans started
to walk on. This area was dominated by gangs and
bandits when the new political authorities failed to
recover security; therefore, at several times pilgrims
were subject to the dangers of robbery and theft and
even murder by thieves and bandits. This pushed the
scholars in the region to drop the task of hajj (pilgrimage)
for maghrebeens because of the hazards of the route or
to wait until secure conditions get bettered.
