Résumé:
Contracts have a great importance in translation due to the diversity of their
patterns, forms and contents over time. This study tackles the old Muslim affairs
contracts in Algeria and their translation into French. We analyze and compare
them in terms of form and content. Their translation is so interesting because of
the effort that appears through the accuracy, quality and fidelity. We treated the
translations of some of their expressions to identify the most important
techniques, focusing on threecriteria: fidelity, meaning and untranslatability
