Abstract:
The current local renaissance discourse suffers from some structural imbalances that could be among its constraints. Globalization, in the way it was formed and operated in this particular phase of MENA history, imposes on this discourse a range of political, intellectual and cultural challenges, exacerbating its structural imbalance. This is why we have to reconsider our perception of the renaissance project and consequently recast our perception of the discursive speech, taking into account the new developments taking place in the international arena and the fundamental changes in human life in this era and the consequent change in the ladder of social, aesthetic and moral values.
