This intervention aims at clarifying the historical course of the Algerian media, and its active role and practical contribution in building the edifice of the newly independent Algerian nation. This study also contributes to clarify the concept of the "fourth power" and the extent of its influence and its impact on public opinion (local and international) and pressure groups in Algeria since the revolution of November 1954 to this day.
We are also trying to clarify the path of the Algerian media, and how it has transformed from colonial media Hash to a global Algerian press (audiovisual, written media, advertising, satellite broadcasting, media economics and technologies), how this sector has overcome all the political crises that the country has gone through, and how Crisis ideology has become global media gains comparable to the world's largest media companies in credibility. The problem of the research centered on the question: to what extent can the Algerian media be a main pillar in the building of the Algerian nation?
