Abstract:
American pragmatic doctrine is historically formed as a transcendence of empiricist doctrine, promising to solve all the philosophical problems that traditional doctrines have failed to solve, from knowledge to morality and religion, with its pragmatic method. And if pragmatism presents itself, on the one hand, as a form of empiricism and on the other hand, it contradicts and corrects it; therefore the problem addressed by the article consists of two questions: 1- What are the limits of junction and disjunction between empiricism and pragmatism? 2- Has pragmatism really presented a substitute that compensates for the flaws of empiricism in the field of knowledge?
