Abstract:
This study intended to explore the problems in translating terms of Lexicology into Arabic. The study was divided into three chapters: the first chapter dealt with the notions of Lexicology and its terms from a theoretical perspective. The second chapter discussed the role of translation and the ways used to generate terms in Arabic, as well as the efforts made to unify terms’ translation in the Arabic World and the major defies it faces. The third chapter showed the causes behind translation problems of Lexical terms, using different examples from books that dealt with lexicology. The study concluded that translators didn’t agree on translating the terms of Lexicology, as they used different ways in translating these terms in their books
