Abstract :
The present study aimed to find out about the students' point of view of the reality of teachers’ abuse of them. The study purpose is detect the types, prevalence, manifestations of the teachers’ abuse students were exposed to. In order to achieve these objectives, the exploratory descriptive method was applied. A randomly chosen sample of (291) male and female participated in the study. They represented some intermediate education schools in Algiers. The researcher prepared and implemented the abuse questionnaire, which comprised four dimensions. The results showed that abuse was widespread in all its aspects: physical, psychological and pedagogical. The most common forms of abuse teachers used are beatings, slaps, in physical abuse; blame and ridicule for psychological abuse; then deduction from the marks, summoning parents and expulsion from the classroom in pedagogical abuse.
