Abstract:
This article deals with the issue of identity and the issues related to it structurally in the post-independence period by including what is literary in what is primarily political from the perspective of the novelist "Said Khatibi", who defended the Orientalist vision associated with representing the image of Algeria and Algerians at the beginning of the twentieth century. Accordingly, he fell victim to prejudice and reproduced perceptions and representations of Orientalism, while trying to liberate the voice of the Algerian "subaltern" from the judgments and negatives of the past
