The manuscript in Algeria is an important part of the Arab-Islamic cultural and artistic heritage, which catches a considerate interest from the institutions and centers specialized in this field, as well as private treasures deployed in Algeria, like the Alawiya Library, which represents a center for the preservation of this heritage to which it has been attributed all of the requirements and the means of conservation and maintenance, the manuscript documentary heritage being an important source and reference, it preserves a fertile scientific material for many ongoing studies in many areas such as history, monuments and visual arts, the different texts and writings and the diversity of Arabic calligraphy
