الخلاصة:
Abstract
In the first part of the article the researcher deals with the theoretical concepts and terminology related to the concept of
information technology before the exposure to the issue of the usage of this technology, through the dismantling of this mysterious
and multi- concept terminology, in an effort to limit and neutralize various terms associated to it. So, the first was to determine the
difference between these two terms “technical” and “terminology”, and also to determine the difference between these terms
“information”, “media” and “communication”, and the existing relationship between them and the overlap quotient in their use in
the field of media and communication and library science, and multiplicity of expressive vocabulary about the concept of

information technology and its different usages in English and French languages, reviewing the classification of the various types of
information technology and its functions and advantages. The research was concluded by a table that summarizes the various
terms and concepts that have been addressed in the study.
