النشاط الحرفي والتجاري للجيش الإنكشاري بمدينة الجزائر خلال القرن 12 هـ/ 18م.

Abstract

ملخص: يتناول هذا المقال البحث في النشاط الحرفي والتجاري لأفراد الجيش الإنكشاري؛ وهذا باستغلال وتوظيف وثائق المحاكم الشرعية، التي تعد مادة وثائقية أولية لدراسة الحياة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية بمدينة الجزائر خلال الفترة العثمانية. ومن خلال المعطيات الواردة فيها نحاول الإجابة عن إشكالية تتمثل في التساؤل حول بدايات ممارسة الجيش الإنكشاري للأنشطة الحرفية؟، وماهية الحرف التي استقطبت اهتمامه؟ وما هي الرتب العسكرية الأكثر ممارسةً للنشاط الحرفي، وما غاياتهم من وراء ذلك؟ أما الجانب التجاري فيتمثل في امتلاك الجيش للعقارات بمختلف أنوعها مثل: الدور والحوانيت والمخازن والأراضي و"الجناين"، مع إبراز مدى حضورهم في ممارسة التجارة الخارجية. وبناء عليه، فإن هذا المقال يهدف إلى توضيح مسألتين هامتين: تتعلق الأولى بمدى مساهمة الجيش في تفعيل الجانب الاقتصادي بالمدينة. أما المسألة الثانية فتخص الاندماج بين الإنكشارية ومختلف الفئات الاجتماعية في تلك الفترة. Abstract: This article examines the artisanship and commercial activity of the Janissaries, and this is by studying and employing the documents of the Sharia courts, which are considered primary documentary material to study the social and economic life in the city of Algiers during the Ottoman period. According to the data included in it we try to answer the questions concerning the early crafts practiced by the Janissary army, what is the main kind of crafts they were interested in, what were most military grades attracted by this activity and what were their purposes? The business aspect is related to janissary real estate’s properties like houses, shops, stores, lands and gardens, and how ready they were to practice foreign trade? Accordingly, this article aim to focus on two topics: the first one is the contribution of the janissaries in the evolving of the economic side of the capital, and the second topic is their integration in different social classes during that period. Résumé: Cet article traite de l’activité artisanale et commerciale des Janissaires; et ce, à travers l’étude et l’exploitation des documents des tribunaux du droit musulman (mahâkim sharʻyya), qui sont considérés comme une matière documentaire de premier ordre pour l’étude de la vie sociale et économique dans la ville d’Alger à l’époque Ottomane. De l’étude de ces documents, nous tacherons de répondre à la problématique concernant les débuts des activités artisanales des Janissaires, la nature de ces activités, les grades militaires les plus enclins à exercer une activité artisanale et les buts qui les ont recherchés. En somme, cette étude vise à éclairer deux questions importantes : La première concerne l’apport des Janissaires dans l’essor de l’activité économique dans la ville d’Alger, et la deuxième question a trait au degré d’intégration des Janissaires dans les différentes catégories sociales algéroises durant cette période.
