The study aimed to know the impact of academic learning difficulties
(reading difficulties, writing difficulties, arithmetic difficulties) on the
mental health of the child - a comparative study of the fifth year students of primary school. From it, the following question was asked: Do academic learning difficulties [reading difficulties, writing difficulties, arithmetic
difficulties] affect the psychological health of fifth-year students? Which branched out into partial questions as follows:
- What is the level of mental health for fifth year primary students with
learning difficulties?
- Is mental health different between students with learning difficulties and normal?.
- Do learning difficulties affect the level of mental health of fifth year primary students?
In order to answer these questions, the researcher followed the descriptive (comparative) approach on a sample of (n = 80) chosen intentionally distributed according to the type of difficulty to be measured. And
processing the data statistically to answer the hypotheses of the study. In light of the theoretical framework and the results of previous studies.
