Abstract:
This contribution tries to show how the desacralization of the
given word is harmful to the image of its author. It starts from the observation
that certain Senegalese political actors, particularly those of the opposition,
sometimes reach the stage of contradiction with themselves. Through a
discursive and pragmatic analysis of the corpus that contradicts their old
declarations and their new postures, we have found that this attitude makes
them “unloved”. Their popularity plummets, their faces attacked and dragged
in the mud, sometimes resulting in "inaudibility" of their speeches.
