dc.description.abstract Abstract: Algerian Navy through history: the 14th century to the 19th century AD. Starting from 1505, Spain conquered numerous Algerian coastal towns such as El Marsa1515, Oran 1509, and Bejaia1510, Cherchell, Dellys, Tenes, and Algiers. In front of this continuous colonization, Algeria asked from the Barbarous brothers their assistance against Spain. In spite of the stopping of the Spanish attacks, Algeria had a strong navy and started attacking European countries as reaction. More than that , it started sending punitive expeditions to these countries thanks to its maritime navy as well as defending its territorial frontiers. ar_AR
