Abstract:
The question of visibility and its manifestation in the field of scientific research: the example of Research Center on Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST). At the beginning of 21stcentury, the visibility in the scientific field becomes an emerging, nagging and grandiloquent thematic. It calls for tools and instruments related to bibliometrics, scientometrics and webometrics, clustered in a field of research called infometrics. This article is divided into two parts. In the first part, the theoretical aspects of visibility are exposed as a tool of acknowledgment and control. The second part deals with the assessment of visibility of Research Center on Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST, Algeria), its researchers and its scientific production according to an informetrics interpretation grid.
