dc.description.abstract Professional commitment of public school teachers according to principals and teachers. This study aims to evaluate the level of professional commitment of public school teachers in the region Tolkarem in Palestine, as expressed in the perceptions of principals and teachers themselves. The study is based on a questionnaire consisting of 20 items, each of which focuses on a specific aspect of professional commitment. The survey panel targets 440 educational actors including 380 school teachers, 20% of employees and 60 managers, 20% of the workforce. Collected data, after validation of the questionnaires, was analyzed. Our results showed that principals and teachers convene positively the professional commitment of public school teachers in the region Tolkarem. But they differ in their assessment of the degree of this commitment: it is higher for school teachers and just medium for managers. The results also reveal differences in the distribution of assessments by sex. Women are more likely to consider that professional commitment of teachers is positive. However these differences are neutralized in the distribution of responses by specialty, experience, seniority in teaching the same class and grade. ar_AR
