dc.description.abstract This paper approaches the problem of academic response to literature in an EFL context, as experienced by advanced undergraduate students. The challenge for them is to engage in a questioning of texts, and therefore to move beyond mere reproducing knowledge of authors and their works, as well as conventional critical comments on themes and styles. ar_AR
