Bibliometric study of The Algerian revue of Political studies: contributions of Algerian researchers in the field of political science

Abstract

This study aims at doing a quantitative and qualitative analysis for the Algerian revue of Political studies since 2014 until 2022. The importance of this study lies in trying to focalise research directions in the field of Political sciences through a research sample seems more objective regarding to the nature of the revue which is classied within the national reviewed revues class"c", and its relative influence in the field of Arab Political studies thtough Arcif Factor. Moreover, the revue reflects the huge interest of the Algerian researchers in the field of Political sciences through the services delivered by the revue especially in promoting reaserchers by publishing their articles in the revue. Hence playing an important role in reflecting academic reaserch product at the doctoral and post doctoral levels. The general result of this study shows that the major interests of reaserchers are not outside the classical trend of Political studies which can be divided into three sub- fields. The first consists of Political science itself and the studies are a few. The second is concerned with public policy and the number is growing despite of the fact that public policy studies are relatively new in Algeria. The third and last one, is International relations, which accounted for the largest percentage of scientific articles Publisher in the journal
