Abstract:
This study seeks to compare Al-Ghazali's approach in his
search truth with Pascal's approach, which specifies total
certainty as a condition of truth. They both believe that heartfelt
certainty is the highest possible level of certainty, especially with
regard to religious truth.
The study concluded that Pascal's ideas were a clear repetition of
Al-Ghazali's ideas. Even if there is no study proving that Pascal
was influenced by Al-Ghazali, the latter's primacy in the matter
confirms his philosophical and scientific originality
