This article aims to investigate the issue of ideological alignment
between author and translator and itsimpact on the translation output. The term
'ideology' has become notably prevalent amid the world's escalating cultural,
political and ideological conflicts. Consequently, various factors influence the
translation of works with ideological dimensions, which may lead some
translators to yield to their personal orientations and convictions, thereby
hindering their commitment to fidelity in translation.
The comparative analytical study that we conducted led us to conclude
that ideological alignment between author and translator has a highly
significant impact on the translation output. It can result in numerous benefits
that enhance the reader's literary experience, such as achieving a more accurate
and faithful translation of the original text, conveying the true cultural and
intellectual spirit of the text, and communicating the author's messages
honestly without distortion.
