En 2014, un violent soulèvement éclate à Jérusalem entre Palestiniens et forces de l’occupation israélienne. Ces événements ont suscité des traitements médiatiques contrastés. D’où notre problématique : comment les acteurs du conflit israélo-palestinien sont-ils désignés et quelles représentations en résultent? Notre recherche en analyse du discours médiatique porte sur deux journaux français (Le Figaro, Le Parisien) et deux algériens (El Watan, Liberté) entre 2014 et 2015. L’objectif est de montrer comment les médias construisent l’altérité. Pour cela, nous mobilisons les approches énonciative et praxématique. Nos résultats révèlent des représentations et positionnements idéologiques divergentes du conflit.
In 2014, a violent uprising erupted in Jerusalem between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces. These events have given rise to contrasting media treatments. Where does our problem stem from: how are the actors of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict designated and what representations result? Our research in media discourse analysis focuses on two French newspapers (Le Figaro, Le Parisien) and two Algerians (El Watan, Liberté) between 2014 and 2015. The objective is to show how media discourse constructs otherness. To this end, we draw on enunciative and praxematic approaches. Our findings reveal divergent representations of the conflict and ideological positions that are far from neutral
