    Je voudrais livrer ici quelques réflexions et un questionnement sur l'état actuel de l'enseignement /apprentissage à l'université et sur le devenir de cet enseignement/apprentissage dans la perspective d'une réforme de l'enseignement supérieur. Je commencerai par une question qui me semble fondamentale : Quel est le rôle de l'université dans l'acquisition des savoirs et des compétences? Je prendrai pour exemple l'enseignement des langues étrangères et j'aborderai cette question sous deux angles : la formation des étudiants et la formation des enseignants.

    The aim of this paper is to describe the University of Algiers Business English Curriculum Project developed in the summer 2005, whose main objective is to train teachers in business English teaching. The course we are suggesting can be regarded as an educational innovation insofar as it has been designed to cop witj the particulat demands of teachers who wish to teach English to business and professional people.

    Educational Reform And The Need To Rethink Approaches, Attitudes And Perspectives In The English Lmd Study Scheme

    Algeria is in the midst of two major educational reforms: the National Education Reform (or School Reform) set up in 2003 which established the Competency-Based Approach (CBA) as an instructional framework for schools, and the Higher Education Reform set up in 2005, which established the LMD Study Scheme as a framework for university degree studies. In both reforms, one of the requirements is to revisit pedagogical approaches and practices, teacher and learner roles, and to seek for new perspectives to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

    Pragmatic Divergence In Efl Learning And Teaching

    Pragmatic instruction has always been viewed as an important feature of learner’s acquisition to the foreign languages' learners. As early as 1983, a distinction was drawn by both Leech and Thomas between two components of pragmatic competence: socio-pragmatic knowledge and pragma-linguistic knowledge. In the present article, I will the main difference between the two concepts , and the importance of their adaptation in teaching EFL students.
