    The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Language Learning: Enhancing Communities of Practice Among Algerian University Students

    This study aimed to evaluate the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and virtual communities of practice on enhancing language learning among university students, focusing on the development of grammar and communication skills, as well as fostering collaboration and cultural exchange. The study adopted a survey-based methodology, utilizing a structured questionnaire and advanced statistical techniques for data analysis. It targeted a diverse sample of 550 students from various academic disciplines to ensure a comprehensive and representative dataset. The findings indicate that AI tools and virtual communities significantly contribute to language learning by offering interactive and personalized educational experiences. However, these technologies face challenges such as weak digital infrastructure and limited technical skills among students, highlighting the need for investments in improving infrastructure and offering comprehensive training programs for students and educators. The study recommends integrating these technologies with traditional methods to enhance language learning experiences and make them more inclusive and interactive.

    .Heutzutage leben wir in einer hochentwickelten und dynamischen Welt. Diese neue bzw. digitalisierte Welt verändert das Lernen auch enorm, um die individuellen oder Gruppenlernaktivitäten in einem computerunterstützten Kontext zu unterstützen. Aus diesem Grund spricht man heute mehr über hybrides Lernen als Alternative, insbesondere in den schwierigen Zeiten. Dieses Lernkonzept ist eine Lernform, die eine didaktisch sinnvolle Verknüpfung von traditionellem Präsenzunterricht und modernen Formen von E-Learning anstrebt, um positive Lehr- und Lernleistungen zu erreichen. Daraus gilt das hybride Lernen als realistische langfristige Lösung, die die Lehrumgebung modernisieren würde und das Bildungssystem zukunftsfähig macht, aber in Algerien bleibt dieses Lernkonzept bis heute wegen verschiedener Hintergründe noch eine Herausforderung und dabei sollten einige Reformen und Maßnahmen getroffen werden. Nowadays, the adoption of the new respectively digital media in German as a Foreign Language - teaching is not only seen as a resource to enhance the teaching and learning process, but also as a culture of teaching and learning to recognize other challenges. The combination of different forms of teaching can be perceived as a modern valuable teaching and learning strategy to provide a communicative atmosphere in the classroom and to obtain positive teaching and learning outcomes. From this, hybrid learning is considered as a connector between the classical and modern methods to reveal new teaching and learning perspectives. However, this learning concept is still a challenge in German as a Foreign Language - teaching in Algeria until today because of different backgrounds and some teaching and learning approaches should be taken into consideration in this regards.
