Item VOCABULARY LEARNING STRATEGIES AND GENDER DIFFERENCES An Experimental Case Study of EFL Undergraduate Students at the English Department of Algiers 2 University(جامعة الجزائر2 أبو القاسم سعد الله Algiers2 University Abu El Kacem Saad Allah, 2023) SADEK صادق, Rima ريمة; NEDJAI MEBTOUCHE, Fatma Zohra (Directrice de thése)This research explored the vocabulary learning strategies employed by EFL undergraduate students at the English Department of Algiers 2 University, highlighting the influence of gender and year of study. It aimed to identify the most/least utilized and perceived as useful VLS strategies as well as examined the adopted approaches. A range of instruments were employed: questionnaires, classroom observation, vocabulary levels tests, focus groups, think-aloud protocol, and survey. The findings indicated that contextual guessing and bilingual dictionaries were frequently used, while using physical activity and testing oneself were less commonly deployed. Third-year students demonstrated higher VLS utilization rates compared to first-year students. VLSs were perceived as useful overall. Gender differences were minor, with both employing VLSs similarly. This research deals with the status of political women throughout history from ancient Eastern civilizations to the present Era to highlight the characteristics of each model from several aspects, such as beauty, body, love, seduction, work, motherhood and power. we discussed feminist positions that are hostile and critical of Libovitsky's view of women. Our research highlights the role of women in building a different identity of the opposite sex, whether with their thoughts, tendencies and creative capacity in various fields, and our main focus is our attempt to apply the Lipoetsky's approach to Arab-Muslim and Algerian women because of our membership.
