Abstract

يعتبر جهاز المحلة من أجهزة المؤسسة العسكرية المهمة في الجزائر بالعهد العثماني حيث اعتمدت عليه السلطة الحاكمة في الجزائر لبسط نفوذها بالمناطق البعيدة عن مركز السلطة، وركيزة أساسية للسيطرة على داخل البلاد. حيث أدى هذا الجهاز دورا مهما لاسيما على المستوى الأمني، فقد استعمل كأداة في يد السلطة الحاكمة في الجزائر من أجل استتباب الأمن، وإخماد الثورات والتمردات، وتطبيق القانون وبالأخص ضد ثورات الطرق الصوفية، والتي من بينها الطريقة التجانية التي أحدثت اختلالات أمنية كبيرة داخل الدولة The Mahalla apparatus is considered one of the important military institutions in Algeria during the ottoman era, as the ruling authority in Algeria relied on it to extend its influence in areas far center of power, and a mainstay for controlling the interior of the country.
