Abstract

his article aims to draw attention to the need to focus on specialty languages, including legal language. We have highlighted the different definitions and types of the specialty language. Then we discussed the most important issues, the characteristics and difficulties of the legal language. In order to draw properly its image, it was necessary to discuss the linguistic structure of the legal textin Arabic and French, which led to set benchmarks in Arabic and French text that are quite distinct from one another.
