Abstract

إنّ ظاهرة إعادة الترجمة من الظواهر المنتشرة من حيث الممارسة، غير أنّ دوافعها تبقى مجهولة نسبيا. ونجد إحدى تبريراتها الهامة في أعمال أنطوان بيرمان الذي يدّعي أنّ الترجمة الأولى لن تكون إلاّ "عشواء ومتردّدة" بينما إعادة الترجمة وحدها تضمن " انكشاف" العمل الأجنبي ذاته (كأجنبي) في الثقافة المتلقية". وهذه الحركية الخطية التي تنطلق من نقص الترجمة الأولى وسعي الترجمات اللاحقة إلى الاكتمال، دعّمتها فرضيةإعادة الترجمة التي ترى أنّ " الترجمات اللاحقة تميل إلى الاقتراب من النص الأصلي". وتكون الغاية الأساسية من أطروحتنا هي انتقاد هذه الفرضية انطلاقا من دراسة تطبيقيةعلى مدوّنة تشتمل على بعض المصادر العربية الهامّة (نزهة المشتاق في اختراق الآفاق؛ تحفة النظار في غرائب الأمصار وعجائب الأسفار؛ وصف إفريقيا) وترجماتها الفرنسية The phenomenon of retranslation is a widespread phenomenon in practice, but its motivations remain relatively unknown. We find one of its important justifications in the work of Antoine Berman who claims that the first translation will only be "random and hesitant", whereas the retranslation alone guarantees "the exhibition" of the foreign work itself (as a foreigner) in the receiving culture". This linear movement, which arises from the failure of the first translation and the attempt of successive translations to accomplish it, is supported by the Retranslation Hypothesis (RH), which holds that "subsequent translations tend to be closer to the original than earlier translations". The first objective of this thesis will be to demonstrate the degree of tenability of the Bermanian hypothesis through a corpus-based analysisof three notorious Arabic sourcesand their respective French translations
