الربح والخسارة في ترجمة النص الطبي التراثي من العربية إلى الإنجليزية كتاب القانون في الطب لابن سينا نموذجا

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحديد مدى الربح في المعنى والخسارة فيه في الترجمة الطبية من الإنجليزية إلى العربية عموما ومن العربية إلى الإنجليزية على وجه الخصوص. كما أردنا أن نركّز على قدرة اللغة العربية على مواكبة التطوّر الطبي المذهل والسريع من خلال إحياء تراثها المصطلحي الغني ممّا يجنّبنا اللّجوء في كلّ حين إلى بعض التقنيات كالاقتراض والنسخ والتكافؤ الوظيفي. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اخترنا كتاب القانون في الطب لابن سينا عيّنة للبحث لتطرّقه إلى جوانب كثيرة تتعلّق بالصحة والمرض ولاحتوائه على كمّ كبير من المصطلحات الطبية العربية ممّا يوفّر للمترجم الطبّي مكافئات مصطلحية دقيقة. كما اخترنا ترجمة جرونر لما تتميّز به من إضافات متعددة وأنواع أخرى من الحذف تجعل من هذا البحث بحثا ملمّا إلى حد كبير بكل ما يتعلّق بالربح في الترجمة الطبية والخسارة فيها. وقد اخترنا المنهج التحليلي النقدي لملائمته هذا النوع من البحوث This research aims at determining the extent of gain and loss in meaning in medical translation from Arabic into English in general and in particular heritage medical text. Also, it focuses on the ability of Arabic to follow the wonderful and rapid medical development through reviving the terminological heritage. This permits the translator to not having recourse frequently to some techniques, such as borrowing, calque and functional equivalence. We concluded that the translator has a wide range of freedom to perform a correct and complete translation. In fact, he may use addition inside the text as well as outside it. This addition includes explanation of terms; extension, using citation, and commentary on the subject matter; and using chemical symbols. He ,also, may do an introduction before starting the translation process, and draw tables and graphs, too. All these kinds of addition may lead to gain in translation. In turn, the translator may use omission unless it is likely to make change in the meaning leading to loss in translation
