Abstract
This thesis examines the problematic of the relationship between Martin
Heidegger’s philosophical ontology and post-Freudian psychoanalysis,
particularly with regard to the issue of language, Being and the unconscious. It
becomes clear that psychoanalysis tends to enrich its concepts and scientific
assumptions with a highly sophisticated ontological-philosophical dimension,
especially through Jacques Lacan’s writings, who attempted to confirm that the
unconscious is structured as a language, and that psychic truth is understood as
the unconcealment of Being through the triad of the Symbolic, the Real, and the
Imaginary. Hence, psychoanalysis raises philosophical questions such as the
nature of the unconscious, language, and Being – questions that do not lie outside
the scope of the problems raised by Martin Heidegger’s fundamental ontology.
This ontological-psychological convergence is not merely coincidental, but
instead finds a common foundation within contemporary Western philosophy.
Despite the profound divergence in their respective premises, both share the same
concern and the difficulties are largely identical, namely the crisis of
contemporary human being- both infiltrated and transcended. Thus, fundamental
ontology is not devoid of psychoanalytic assumptions such as the unconscious,
inauthentic existence, fallenness, anxiety, mood, and forgetfulness—all of which
express a state of existential loss. Likewise, post-Freudian psychoanalysis is
deeply marked by an ontological tendency that seeks to ground its concepts in the
light of the human experience of Being
