غزو الجراد للجزائر و تداعياته (1929-1930) في اهتمامات جريدة النجاح

Abstract

The article deals with the locust invasion of Algeria during the years 1929 and 1930 in light of the media coverage of Al-Najah newspaper, where it identified the areas of its spread in the country and its repercussions on the Algerians economically, socially and psychologically, as their agricultural crops were damaged, their livestock perished, their strength decreased suspiciously, and their lives were plagued by anxiety and sadness as a result of the locust invasion of the country continuing for more than a month and a half during this period. It also clarified their traditional methods of combating this harmful pest, and revealed the position of the colonial administration on the natural disaster, by mobilizing human resources and allocating significant financial allocations, equipment and necessary means to combat the locusts and protect the settlers’ property, while the people remained immune to the administration’s rescue, which perpetuates its extremist racist view in dealing with them . يعالج المقال غزو الجراد للجزائر خلال عامي 1929 و 1930 على ضوء الاهتمامات الاعلامية لجريدة النجاح، حيث حددت مناطق انتشاره من البلاد و تداعياته على الجزائريين اقتصاديا و اجتماعيا و نفسيا ، إذ تضررت محصولاتهم الزراعية و هلكت مواشيهم و قل قوتهم بشكل مريب، و خيب على حياتهم القلق و الحزن من جراء استمرار غزو الجراد للبلاد لأكثر من شهر و نصف خلال هاته الفترة، و وضحت أيضا وسائلهم التقليدية في مكافحة هذه الأفة الضارة، كما كشفت عن موقف الإدارة الاستعمارية من الكارثة الطبيعية و ذلك بتجنيدها الإمكانيات البشرية و تخصيصها الاعتمادات المالية الهامة و التجهيزات و الوسائل اللازمة لمكافحة الجراد و حماية أملاك المستوطنين ،بينما ظل الأهالي في منأى عن نجدة الإدارة لهم مما يكرس استمرار نظرتها العنصرية المتطرفة في تعاملها معهم.
