Abstract

انتبه "ليوش شتراوس" إلى أزمة الدولة في تخليها عن فكرة الفضيلة السياسية واستبدالها بالقوانين، لكن الحقيقة تكمن في روح القوانين لا في شكلها وآلية إنفاذها - تطبيقها -.، وبالتالي فالفضيلة السياسية التي يقترحها مونتيسكيو ويجد فيها شتراوس ملاذا هي الحل، وهي تعني ضرورة التقيد بالقوانين السياسية، مضافا إليها مسألة نكران الذات، والعمل لمصلحة الجماعة لا المصلحة الفردية، وهنا يقترح "شتراوس" ضرورة العودة إلى الفكر الفلسفي الكلاسيكي، الذي يزاوج بين المسألتين (الفضيلة والقانون) أو لنقل بتعبير العصور الوسطى: قوانين العقل وفكرة التضحية كما هي في الدين المسيحي، فالتمييز هنا لم يعد ممكنا بين الفضيلة والسياسة، من الناحية العملية على الأقل، وهو ممكن فقط لغويا أو بلاغيا، فدعامة الليبرالية هي الحرية، ولكن أيضا ضمن فريق. والهدف النهائي هو مصلحة الجميع عبر تحسين أداء المؤسسات، وهكذا يلتقي الجهد الفردي - القانون الأخلاقي - بالجهد والمصلحة الجماعية - القانون السياسي - فلا يصبح عندئذ أي تعارض بين الفضيلة الأخلاقية والفضيلة السياسية.
