Graffito d’un jeu public en Algérie antique

Abstract

Résumé: Les témoignages sur les scènes de jeux publics pratiqués dans le monde méditerranéen de l’époque antique sont abondants. Ils ont été évoqués dans les textes anciens. De plus, ils sont figurés sur des matières concrètes qui servent de base à des œuvres d’art comme la mosaïque, la pierre, la céramique, l'os, le verre, etc. Dans cet article, notre choix s’est porté sur un remarquable graffito. Il a été réalisé sur une tuile en terre cuite de Timgad. L’artiste a reproduit une scène de spectacle tauromachique qui incarne un jeu sacré. Cette dernière est symbolisée par la force d’un venator/bestiarius et d’un taureau énorme marqué d’un emblème des Telegenii. ملخص: إن الشواهد حول مشاهد الألعاب الشعبية التي كانت تمارس في مناطق البحر الأبيض المتوسط في العصور القديمة كثيرة، وهي مذكورة في النصوص القديمة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك تم تمثيلها على مواد صلبة مثل الفسيفساء والحجر والفخار والعظام والزجاج وما إلى ذلك وتعتبر كأعمال فنية. وقد وقع اختيارنا في هذا المقال، على مشهد جرافيتو تم تمثيله على قرميدة وجدت في منطقة تيمقاد. فقد قام الحرفي صانع هذه قطعة الفنية برسم مشهديجسد لنا لعبة مقدسة في تلك الفترة، وهي مصارعة أحد فيناتور " venator"أو بيستياري " bestiari" مع ثور ضخم مرقوم على ظهره بشعار تيليجيني"Telegenii. هذا الأخير يرمز إلى قوة فيناتور" venator"أو بيستياري"bestiar". Abstract : The testimonies on the scenes of public games practiced in the Mediterranean world of ancient times are abundant. They were mentioned in ancient texts. Besides, they have been featured on concrete materials that serve as the basis for works of art such as mosaic, stone, ceramic, bone, glass, etc. In this article, our choice fell on a remarkable graffito. It was made on a terracotta tile from Timgad. The artist has reproduced a scene from a bullfighting show that embodies a sacred game. The latter is symbolized by the strength of a Venator/bestiarius and a huge bull marked with the emblem of the Telegenii.
